Saving your infected tooth
Root canal treatment is a common procedure for treating decayed teeth that have been infected by bacteria. It can effectively save compromised teeth by removing the infected pulp tissue, which contains the blood vessels and nerves.
When decay reaches the pulp chambers and affects this tissue, it causes the inside of the tooth to die while leaving the outer root structure intact.
Root canal treatment is a procedure in which we remove infected tissue and seal the root canals. Our use of advanced rotary and locator technology ensures optimal results. We understand that some patients may feel apprehensive about this treatment, and our team strives to make you feel at ease throughout the process.
After removing the dead tissue, dental sealing material is used to fill the root canals and prevent additional infection. Following a satisfactory healing period, a crown may be added to the tooth’s structure to restore function, prevent future breakage, and achieve a natural appearance.

Christian graduated from The University of Bristol, UK in 2006 with a BDS and also completed a MFDS RCPS (Glasgow). In his role as a dentist, he enjoys receiving positive feedback from patients, whether it is from an improved smile or an experience that was easier than anticipated.
